One Wish Jerusalem

“I wish that the whole world would realize who they are”

I love you. We will never forget.

I love you. We will never forget.

Woodstock:   August 15-18 1969

Nudity was welcomed,   community was strong, civil and harmonious,   Hare Krishna’s were free to walk around without prejudice or harassment,   the youth & the bands had purpose & passion for a cause (“One, two, three, what are we fighting for? / Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn. / Next stop is Viet-nam.”),   the adults respected the kids, and the kids had earnt their trust (“You’ve proven to the world that a half-million kids — and I call you kids because I have children that are older than you are — a half million young people can get together and have three days of fun and music and have nothing but fun and music. And God bless you for it!” - Dairy farmer Max Yasgur, 49, leased his land to Woodstock organizers for the festival),   the kids were respectful & peaceful not only towards one another but towards the land (“Your mother Earth blesses you. Bless her.” “Please one love another.” “The feed corn in fields is for cows. You can’t chew it, so let it grow.”)…

They had it so right. What happened to the youth?
